Practise first: your free $50,000 practice account

Every Mizora trader can open a free $50,000 simulated practice account. What it is, why it is worth practising first, and how to use it well.

Every trader at Mizora can open a free $50,000 practice account in Mizora Pro, our browser trading terminal. There is no card to enter and nothing to pay. It has been available since the platform went live in late August, and if you are new to the platform, it is where we suggest you begin.

Why practise first

A new platform is easier to learn when nothing is at stake. Where the order ticket sits, how one-click trading behaves, how a stop and target attach to an order, how much room the account's limits leave you on a bad morning: each is a small detail worth learning before it matters.

The practice account is useful precisely because it can fail. It can breach, which means it shows you where the limits are and how close your own trading comes to them. Practising with no limits teaches you the chart. Practising under limits teaches you the discipline the chart does not show.

What the practice account is

It is a simulated account with a $50,000 balance. Mizora is in its beta period and all trading here is on simulated capital. The practice account is free, needs no card and has no payouts. Its results are yours to learn from, nothing more.

Inside Mizora Pro you can trade index futures (NQ, ES and RTY), forex (EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDJPY), gold and silver, crude oil, and crypto (BTC, ETH and SOL). The terminal gives you candlestick charts on every timeframe, drawing tools, indicators such as VWAP, EMA, Bollinger Bands and volume, bar replay, a track record page, one-click trading and a stop and target on every ticket. There is also a phone ticket designed after MT5 mobile.

One note on market data. The order book and tape are modelled from live prices rather than taken from exchange depth, and the terminal labels them "Modelled". The order flow views (footprint, liquidity heatmap and delta) are also modelled.

How to use it well

Treat the practice account as a rehearsal rather than a game. A few habits make it worth far more:

  • Learn the terminal first. Set up charts on the timeframes you trade, add only the indicators you actually use and get comfortable with the drawing tools. If you trade from your phone, place orders on the phone ticket as well.
  • Plan your stop and target before you enter. Every ticket carries a stop and a target. Decide where they belong before you click, not after.
  • Know your limits before the session starts. Find out where the account's limits sit and trade with them in mind, not as an afterthought.
  • Size with intent. A $50,000 balance you do not respect teaches nothing. Choose a position size you would be comfortable holding and keep to it.
  • Review your own habits. Use the track record page to see what you actually did rather than what you remember doing, and use bar replay to rehearse a setup on past price action.

If it breaches, start again

Breaching a practice account costs you nothing but the account. After a practice account breaches you can start a new one, so a bad day is no reason to stop practising.

Before you do, take a few minutes to work out why it happened. Was it one oversized trade, a run of trades taken to win back a loss, or an order placed in a hurry? The track record page makes the pattern easier to see. A breach you understand in practice is one you are less likely to repeat later.

If you are new to Mizora, the free practice account is available in Mizora Pro. Take your time with it, and practise until the terminal, the limits and your own habits hold no surprises.
