Mizora Partners in detail.

Mizora Partners is a multi-market proprietary trading firm offering evaluations across four asset classes: futures, crypto, forex/CFD, and prediction markets. All evaluations use static drawdown calculated from the starting balance, meaning your stop-out level never tightens regardless of profits made.

The Standard (1-Step) evaluation requires a 10% profit target with a 6% static drawdown, 3% daily loss limit, and 5 minimum trading days. The Classic (2-Step) requires 10% in Phase 1 and 5% in Phase 2, with a more generous 10% drawdown and 5% daily limit. Both have unlimited time to complete.

The Scale (Hyper Growth) plan is unique to Mizora. Your account automatically doubles at each 10% profit target, scaling from $5K to $4M. Instead of termination on daily loss, trading is paused until the next day. Profit splits reach up to 100% at higher tiers.

Mizora runs a free-entry trading tournament (The Mizora Cup) where the top 100 traders win free evaluation accounts. The platform is built entirely in-house with social trading features, an economic calendar, and a live trader feed.

FTMO in detail.

FTMO is the most established proprietary trading firm, operating since 2015 from Prague. It offers a 2-step evaluation (FTMO Challenge + Verification) with a 10% profit target in Phase 1 and 5% in Phase 2, each requiring at least 4 trading days.

FTMO uses static drawdown — the 10% max loss is measured from the initial balance, not from peak equity. The 5% daily loss limit applies to all accounts. Both phases have unlimited time to complete (time limits were removed in 2023).

The profit split starts at 80% and can increase to 90% through the Scaling Plan, which also increases account size by 25% every 4 consecutive profitable months (with at least 2 months above 10%). Accounts can scale up to $2M combined. Evaluation fees range from $155 ($10K account) to $1,080 ($200K) and are refunded with the first profit split.

FTMO offers 93 instruments across forex, indices, commodities, metals, crypto, and stocks. Platforms include MT4, MT5, cTrader, and DXtrade. News trading is restricted within a 2-minute window around high-impact events on funded accounts.

Payouts are processed biweekly (every 14 days) with the option for on-demand payouts, typically within 1-2 business days via bank wire, Skrill, or cryptocurrency.

Does FTMO use static or trailing drawdown?
FTMO uses static drawdown. The 10% max loss is calculated from your initial starting balance and does not trail upward with profits. This changed from earlier iterations of their rules.
Which firm has lower fees?

Can I trade crypto on FTMO?
Yes, FTMO offers a limited selection of crypto CFDs (including BTC and ETH). Mizora offers crypto trading as one of its four primary markets with broader instrument selection.
Which has faster payouts?
Both are fast. Mizora averages 1.8 days. FTMO processes payouts within 1-2 business days on a biweekly cycle or on-demand after the first cycle.
Is news trading allowed?
Mizora allows news trading on all plans with no restrictions. FTMO restricts trading within a 2-minute window before and after high-impact news events on funded accounts.
Can I scale my account to $4M?
Mizora's Scale (Hyper Growth) plan automatically doubles your account at each 10% target, up to $4M. FTMO's Scaling Plan increases accounts by 25% every 4 months, up to $2M combined.
Which firm has been around longer?
